- E -Learning platform for young prisoners
E-Bimbing : Young Prisoner's E-Learning Platform for E-Lifeskills,
Capacity Building and Occupational Information is a social project
to empower 1200 young prisoners in five prison institutions in Malaysia.
The project aims to equip young prisoners in multimedia and desktop
publishing skills by developing a comprehensive E-Learning platform.

Samsung CARES! : E-Community Technology Center for Unemployed Youths
is a social project to empower 350 unemployed youths in economically
disadvantaged neighborhoods to acquire e-skills, e-entrepreneurial
knowledge and improved e-access to occupational information. E-skills,
which comprise both general and specific employability, will enable
the youths to seek better job opportunities. E-entrepreneurial knowledge
will allow them to use the knowledge gained to initiate digital micro-enterprises
in their own neighborhoods. Access to online occupational information
will enable the youths to further studies in local youth training
institutes or to join an apprentice program in manufacturing companies.

- Transforming Rural Entrepreneurs Into Modern ICT Based Entrepreneurs

E-Industri Desa ( e-Rural Microenterprises) is a social project initiated
by Pertubuhan Prihatin Sosial Malaysia and fully supported by the
Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development of Malaysia. E-Industri
Desa is a pilot project to assist existing cottage industries in a
traditional Malay village setting (Perkampungan Banghuris, Sepang,
Selangor) to adapt to new circumstances and challenges posed by information
and communication technologies (ICT). ICT was used a creative tool
to market and sell rural products online. Using ICT tools (especially
e-mails and e-brochures), a few project participants managed to sell
their products to buyers in Dubai (Middle East). (More in Press Release)
Inno Youth
- Empowering Kajang Prison Inmates
InnoYOUTH (Innovative Youth) : Empowering Kajang Prison Inmates (Youths) in Digital Micro-Enterprises is a social project to empower 350 inmates of Kajang Prison inmates in multimedia and desktop publishing skills as to enable them to become micro-entrepreneurs once they are released. This project is supported by Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia under the community of Inno Youth Scheme. The project aims to give guidance, hope, skills and confidence for the inmates to start afresh a new lease of life –in other words, using ICT skills to earn a living! InnoYouth project will provide hope and instill sense of self-respect for the inmates and help to reduce ‘re-offending’ cases.
NurKreatif -
Empowering Kajang Prison (Women) Inmates
NurKreatif is jointly funded by Ministry of Women, Family and Community
Development, Malaysia and Prihatin Malaysia to set up a multimedia
center in Kajang (Women) Prison in Kajang, Selangor. Using the skills
learned, the inmates managed to create creative artworks such as flyers,
brochures, greeting cards, product labels and many others. (More in

SAMSUNG YOUTHpreneur: Empowering Henry Gurney Inmates in Digital Micro-Enterprises
is a social project to empower 387 inmates of Henry Gurney Schools
with multimedia and desktop publishing skills to enable them to become
micro-entrepreneurs.Upon completion of the detention period, the inmates
will be able to offer services such as desktop publishing, digital
photography, digital videography and telecenter services. In addition,
seminars, workshops and motivational talks will be organized to build
capacity and confidence of the inmates.
