Empowering Kajang Women Prison Inmates in Digital Micro-Enterprises

Location : Kajang Women Prison Kajang, Selangor



NurKreatif! was launched on 12th March 2007 and it is a social project to empower 40 inmates of Kajang Women Prison with multimedia and desktop publishing skills to enable them to become micro-entrepreneurs. NurKreatif is jointly funded by Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, Malaysia and Prihatin Malaysia.

Samsung Youthpreneur - Henry Gurney School

Empowering Henry Gurney Inmates

Location : Sekolah Henry Gurney, Batu Gajah, Ipoh, Perak Sekolah Henry Gurney, Malacca


The SAMSUNG YOUTHpreneur program targets to help 36 inmates in the Henry Gurney (Girls) School in Batu Gajah, Perak and 351 inmates in Henry Gurney (Boys) School in Malacca. Henry Gurney Schools (HGS) is established to detain youths in the age bracket of 14 to 21 years under the order of Juvenile Court.

Empowering Kajang Prison Inmates

Location : Kajang Prison


Empowering Kajang Prison Inmates (Youths) in Digital Micro-Enterprises is a social project to empower 350 inmates of Kajang Prison in multimedia and desktop publishing skills as to enable them to become micro-entrepreneurs once they are released. The project aims to give guidance, hope, skills and confidence for the inmates to start afresh a new lease of life; using ICT skills to earn a living!
